Toklat Mullen Mouth Tom Thumb Pelham

This bit features pelham cheeks and a straight mullen mouth.

A pelham is a dual use bit. Used with doubled reins, pressure on the snaffle ring creates direct pressure action like a dee ring or eggbutt. Pressure on the curb rein creates leverage action in same way as a curb cheek. The mullen mouth can be good for horses that object to bits moving around in their mouths. The solid nature of the bit encourages leaning onto it, which can be good in a horse that won't accept contact.
