Myler Loose Ring Mullen w/Low Port MB 06

This bit features Loose Ring cheeks and an MB 06 low port mouth. This is a Myler level 2-3 bit. It is USEF 2012 and FEI 2016 Dressage Legal. Consult the rulebook for more information.

The MB 06 is a Myler alternative to the traditional mullen, but it has a wide low port that allows the tongue to pass under it comfortably. The port is 3/4" high, just enough to allow the horses tongue to elevate slightly and swallow but not high enough for palate pressure. When the reins are engaged, the 06 applies pressure primarily to the bars and lips.

The loose ring is a simple stainless steel "O" shape where both the bridle and mouthpiece have no fixed point of attachment but slide freely around the ring. The loose ring allows a lot of play as the mouthpiece slides freely around the ring.
